Cancellation Policy
At Wild Society, every reservation is special — and a lot of love and preparation goes into getting your adventure ready before you even arrive.
Because of this, we kindly ask all guests to respect the following policies:
Rental Cancellations
• Please notify us by emailing scheduling.wildsociety@gmail.com at least 7 days before your rental if you need to cancel or reschedule.
• Cancellations or schedule changes made within 7 days are considered final and non-refundable.
• A $25 processing fee applies to all cancellations and schedule changes.
Tour Cancellations
• Tours must be canceled or rescheduled at least 14 days prior to your scheduled date.
• Changes or cancellations made within 14 days are non-refundable.
• A $25 processing fee applies to all tour cancellations and changes.
Weather-Related Cancellations
• If we must cancel your adventure due to unsafe weather or lake conditions, you’ll receive a full refund — no fees, no worries.
• Lake Tahoe’s conditions can change quickly, and your safety will always be our first priority.
Respecting Reservations
• Please book thoughtfully.
• Booking multiple dates or times in hopes of deciding later is not permitted and will result in a $40 fee per kayak.
• We want every adventurer to have a fair chance to experience the magic of Lake Tahoe — your cooperation helps make that possible.
Booking Policy
When you book with Wild Society, you’re reserving a special experience that’s carefully prepared just for you.
To help everything flow smoothly for everyone, please note:
• Arrival Time:
We kindly ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled launch time.
If you arrive late (within 20 minutes of launch), your reservation will be canceled without refund to stay on schedule for all guests.
• Preparation:
Please arrive ready — with sunscreen applied, belongings packed, and restrooms visited.
Our schedule is carefully timed, and late personal preparation cannot delay your instruction or launch.
• Late Returns:
Rentals returned late (after your scheduled end time) will be charged an additional $60 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.
Please be mindful of other adventurers awaiting their turn.
• Weather Considerations:
Our goal is always to deliver a safe and unforgettable experience.
In rare cases of unsafe weather conditions, we may need to cancel or adjust timing.
If so, we promise a full refund and heartfelt understanding.
Rental Arrival & Return Policies
Our equipment is lovingly maintained so every adventurer can enjoy it safely.
When you rent with Wild Society, you agree to the following:
• Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Equipment:
Adventurers are financially responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged kayaks, SUPs, or accessories during their rental.
Fees may include:
• Clear Kayak: $1,900
• Paddleboard (SUP): $2,200
• Seat: $85
• Paddle: $65
• Skeg (fin): $75
• Life Vest: $50
• Dry Bag: $30
• Wireless Speaker: $50
• Other accessories as listed
• Major Scratches:
Large scratches or major cosmetic damage may result in a $75 fee or more to preserve the integrity of the kayaks and boards.
• Acceptance of Responsibility:
All guests must sign a Liability Waiver acknowledging understanding of these policies before launching.
We appreciate your care and respect for the equipment — it helps us keep the magic alive for every guest who follows.
